Equities
AMP Capital offers an integrated investment capability across multiple strategies. The Fundamental Equities team offers a broad range of capabilities, including Australian and Asian equities spanning core, sustainable, long/short, concentrated and income investment strategies.
Proprietary stock research is at the core of our investment process. The team takes a fundamental approach to stock selection, assessing a stock’s value based on fundamental bottom up research to identify the best opportunities.
Our second equities strategy, the Multi-Strategy team offers a range of quant-based investment products that may be tailored for large mandates, as well as offered as wholesale unit trusts.
AMP Capital is one of the largest investors in Australian equities and was one of the first Australian fund managers to set up a sustainable investment team made up of portfolio managers and environment, social and governance (ESG) researchers. Today we are Australia’s largest sustainable fund manager*. Our ESG research team who look beyond traditional financial analysis to uncover the intangible factors that may impact company performance now offer their research broadly across our fundamental equity strategies.
We also offer a range of Asian equities investments, and were the first Australian fund manager to be awarded a Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor (QFII) license by the Chinese Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) to invest in China A-shares.
Our experienced specialist investment teams draw on significant shared resources, including an independent risk management team, and the Investment Strategy & Economics team led by Dr Shane Oliver, which provides input on macroeconomic themes. These multiple perspectives give us greater insight into wider market trends and new investment opportunities.
